Some
things I think I think.
-
Traps
is almost ready to drop the Cowherd
moniker for Billy C. Almost. Well see how he performs in the
playoffs. He doesnt necessarily have to
win.just show Trap that he had the
team prepared, was willing to make changes during the game, and didnt make
boneheaded coaching decisions based on conservativism. Conservativism isnt really a word, but it nicely describes
how Cowherds asshole puckers up in tight, meaningful games. To this writers surprise, Cowherd has shown
very little of this during this campaign, which gives hope to all Stiller fans
in the playoffs.
-
Trap
agrees with how Cowherd has chosen to approach and play the last game against
the Billies.
The attitude needs to be to play to win, while at the same time, resting
guys who need rested. Trap does NOT
agree with situations such as last season, when Cowherd played all starters in
meaningless games at the end of the season, instead of giving backups some time
to shine.
-
Trap
thinks that Joey Porter just might be the most overrated player in the
league. In fact, no others come to
mind. Porter mentioned that he would
gladly trade his Pro Bowl selection with Aaron Smith. Instead of just saying it, he should DO
IT. Seriously. No reason he cant just give his plane ticket
to Smith, and the AFC coach gets an extra DL.
Smith deserves it Porter does not.
-
WHY
is it that Porter plays some games like a house on fire, and other games like
Jason Gildong????
-
Everyone
likes James HarrisonNOW. Just remember,
it was this site ONLY that praised
-
Saw
where Kurpeikis was cut by Bellichick
last week
-
James
Farrior is an example of what can be done with a
player who is intelligent and who hits, and has good athletic abilities. Mike Vrabel is
another example of the same.
-
BOTH
Al Faneca and Jeff Hartings
deserved to go to the Pro bowl. Smith
deserved the alternate slot. Vincent and
Ross deserved neither. Those of you on
the forum who think that Vincent is All-world better think again. He cannot even come close to doing all the
things that Simmons can he is a roadgrader, not
that there is anything wrong with that.
If he wants big money, he goes.
As for Ross, this writer has never been a Ross fan hes a fat tub who
has improved significantly this season, but will never be elite. If Starks is better, then Ross should go.
-
Al
Faneca was better last season than this season. He has given up sacks that he would never
have in the past.
-
Trap
always likes how Hartings moves the ball up about
12-inches every time he puts his hand on the ball to set for the snap. Watch it during the game. Its beautiful. Never saw other centers do this
consistently.
-
No
matter what the Bettis-lovers say, the starting
tailback in the playoffs SHOULD be Duce Staley.
He brings so much more to the table.
He does everything Bus does, and more, and faster. Duce is overlooked as the man who REALLY got
this ground game and offensive line going this season he hit the holes when
they opened, something Bettis showed in the past two
years he could not always do and he gave the line their confidence and
identity. Duce was a TREMENDOUS pickup this
offseason, and if the Stillers
win the Super Bowl, he will have been the best offseason
acquisition in the NFL.
-
That
said, what Bus has done has been simply remarkable. This writer has, and still does, rip on Bus
about his weight. He absolutely does not
take care of himself nutritionally. But,
like my buddy Trivia said, I dont care if he weighs 400 pounds, so long as hes
running like he is. Bus has broken the
opposing defenses WILL. No team wants
to defend the Bus when hes running with a full head of steam.
-
THAT
being said, kudos to Ken Whisenhunt for running Bus
almost exlusively STRAIGHT AHEAD, eschewing the whaleshit counters that cause this writer to break many a
television set or remote. Bus doesnt
run the slow-developing counter around the outsidehe runs between the
tackles. WHY it took three ofeensive coordinators to figure this out is a
mystery. Additionally, Bus HAS done an
excellent job of bouncing plays outside that were designed between the
tackles. The key here is that the play
does not START going outside. Between
slow linemen pulling, and Bus using his 5.1-speed, these around end plays do
not work. At all. Thank you, Ken, for getting rid of them.
-
My
esteemed colleague, Still Mill, is DEAD WRONG about Bus not getting into the
-
How
about the play where Bus put a spin move TWICE on two different defenders in
the Raven game!?!?! WOW! The marvels of an almost 300-pound man
putting spin moves on tacklers is a thing to behold!!
-
Whats
the worst that could have happened if Troy Polamalu
was allowed to start all last season as a rookie? He gets burned a couple of times? We had guys on the field who got burned that
much in one game?!?!? Hopefully, Cowherd
learned his lesson SPEED KILLS. Put it
on the field, not on the bench!
-
Trap
is the biggest Ben Roethlisberger fan in the
country. Love this guy!!!! This writer marvels at the fact that we have
only seen about 60% of the upside that Big Ben is capable of!!!! Think about that for a secondhes got tons more
upside potential to go!! WHAT were the Chargers
and Giants thinking?????
-
Traps
got a framed colored pencil drawing of Big Ben done by the local artist at
-
Trap
is still firmly of the opinion that Plex MUST be
signed. If Hines leaves after next year
too bad. Plex
HAS to stay. Trap would like to have
both, and if Indy can sign the triplets three, then we should be able to get
both Plex and Hines signed long-term.
-
Indy
will never win the Super Bowl, because they spend ZERO NADA NOTHING on their
defense. And it stinks. Trap has no fear of the Dolts.
-
Trap
is not sold yet on Mays. If there is a good
speed receiver available in the third round, the Stillers
should take him.
-
Trap
remembers a few years ago, when he stated that Larry Foote was his sleeper pick
before the NFL draft. Trap reveled in
the fact that the Stillers grabbed him. Then, Trap had to eat so much shit last year
when it looked like Foote was terrible, and a wasted pick. OH, how different a year, and a new
coordinator, can make. Trap is happy as
a hooker at a condom convention!!!
-
Traps
pick in this upcoming draft is
-
Good
riddance, Wally Harris. Several Stillers have reported to Trap that there is no longer a
lingering stench at the south side practice facility anymore!!! LMAO!
-
The
team Trap fears is still the New England Patriots. No one can prepare his team for a playoff
game better than Bill Bellychick. Not having
-
Trap
is actually hoping that the Dolts knock off the Pats, and we face Indy, and
intercept Geyton WoManning
4 times to go to the Super Bowl!!

Happy
New Year from the entire staff at Stillers.com!!!!!
