Tuesday
evening notes from the snow covered Black and Gold Glasses:
-
My nominee for Hard Hat Winner of the Year is Bill Cowher, with Honorable
Mention going to our OC and DC.

I don't have the stats in front of me, but if you go back to our first two
Super Bowls, back when the Defense was more potent than the Offense, I bet you
will find games that Bradshaw had the stats that Ben had this week, and won the
game like Ben did. The object is winning, and Ben is doing that. His stats
could be 2-29, 8 yards, 6 INT's, but if we win, good. On the other hand, a
23-24, 439 yards, 6 TD's, and we lose game would be crap.
-
If Indy can beat Baltimore this week, and we beat them the following week, that
might just knock them out of the playoffs, and oh, wouldn't that be so sweet.
Maybe KC will be tired after the game last night, and Denver can beat them this
week. And the Jets beat Seattle this week, and do us a favor and beat the Pats
next week, oh, wouldn't that be sweet!
-
I was all set on getting my little brother who is living in New Mexico a #7
jersey for Christmas, but now I may have to get him a #43 shirt. Wow, Troy is a
monster.
-
If he couldn't have done it previously, I seriously think that if The Bus would
run for mayor of Pittsburgh, he would win. Seeing the fan reaction when he left
the field Sunday was awesome.
-
We need Plax back. And like others, my view has changed about resigning him, if
possible. I would now rather give Plax the big contract than give Ward an
extension. I love Hines, but how long is he going to be effective playing like
he does?
-
How many Giants fans around, say, 4PM on Saturday are going to be cussing the
Giants management for trading up to take Manning and not taking Ben? Little Eli
is going to get a rude awakening this Saturday. Stillers 30 Giants 7

Its about time we got some snow here. I'm sure it is not a record, but no snow
until Dec 12th is weird.
