who gets the heat for this loss vs NYG

Postby westeelbelieve » Sun Oct 26, 2008 8:46 pm

canidates

O-Line- brought back to reality getting Ben killed and making kiwanuka look like the second coming of Lawrence Taylor

Special Teams- they hurt us (literally) and Silverback's rocket launcher for a safety and tie the game at 14

Santonio Holmes- Just say no to drugs!

Bruce Arians- crappy ass gameplan and putting the Giants in our territory nearly all game long

or other canidates I didn't mention

The offense, but for a few bright spots, looked completely clueless in this game.

I don't know who to blame anymore, the line, Ben, Holmes being gone, so I'm just going to blame the lot of 'em.

I thought Ben called the plays?? We lose and now Arians calls them? lol
Ben throws 3 picks and hes not an option? I say 3 because one wasnt his fault.
I love the fact that we have this schedule because Ben will be exposed. He cant take pressure, hes too busy looking at the line to see how much time he has and subsequently misses open wrs. With this schedule the evidence will be OVERWHELMING and I cant wait to say, I told you so.

You can only call the plays that are in your packages and that you have prepared for. Arians makes all of those decisions.

This offense is FAR cry from the ones they ran in 2004-05 when Whisenhunt was in charge. All you have to do is look at the vanilla playcalling.

I don't expect this to make any sense to you, however.

Oh it makes sense to me, I LOVED Whisenhunt. But why didnt Whisenhunt get the job? Because our million dollar qb didnt want him in Pittsburgh. BLAME BEN.

How can you totaly have an honest poll and not have Ben on there?

Ben blew it today, I don't care who calls the plays, I don't care who held who and called back what play, you have to take what is given you and step up! That didn't happen so lets face the music.

Ben sucked today!!

as much as i like ben, this loss was on him. he made some bad decisions throwing the ball, and at least 4 of the sacks that happened was when he held on to the ball for 5+ seconds. The line for most of the day gave him the time to throw the ball, but he seems to be looking for the home run every time. He needs to take what the defense gives him.

It is safe to say you didn't actually watch the game......

i watched the whole thing, and he held the ball for 5 or more seconds on just about every play he got sacked on.

Big Ben, the whole first half the Giants starting field position was in steelers territory. Because of turnovers! The bad snap had nothing to do with the loss. Our defense was playing great if not for starting field position in the first half, steelers would of won. It seems Ben chokes against good defenses, GET RID OF THE BALL! No O-Line in the NFL can give 6-8 seconds to a QB.

Might want to add Ben to the poll. It's pretty clear that Ben holds the ball way too long. He's always looking for the "big" play instead of taking what's he's given.

McLovin not an Arians fan, but he isn't the one who threw 4ints. or as resident asshole Scalaid points out several hundred times a day holds the ball too long. McLovin does believe that Arians gave up on the run too soon. Steelers should have been protecting the slim lead by milking the clock. That said McLovin would like to send a special shout out to San-TOKEo Holmes for getting his stupid ghetto ass suspended. Thanks also to Willie Colon for making McLovin want to vomit every time he gets a stupid penalty. Lots of guys had subpar performances...not Ryan Clark that dude played his spleenless heart out as did Aaron Smith playing with a lot on his mind.

100% definitely the o-line. I was bitching about the OL last year and told my dad that if they didn't do anything about it in the off season, Ben will get killed. Yea, okay, Ben threw 4 INT's, but if he had the kind of time that say Eli does, I'd place money down that he would be considered the best in the league.

Just as not all of the sacks were the lines fault not all of the Ints Ben's fault one was deflected and the other a prayer. Although McLovin way past annoyed with Willie Colonoscopy's shit play McLovin can't get past what in the name of SanTOKEo Holmes Colbert was smoking when he gave Maxipad Starks $7 mil to get abused by Mathias Kiwanuka who doubled his season sack total in one outing. McLovin optomistic with a possible no cap year that Steelers will pony up for a couple NFL calibur tackles and a line coach not named Larry Porn.

Hes my favorite player on the team, but without a doubt this lies all on Ben. He had enough time to get rid of the ball through about 70% of the game. He practically gave the Giants 9 points and was lucky our D bailed him out of 21.

The rest of the blame (if any) goes to Arians just because he sucks.
