NFL.com's Kirwan predicts Woodley Pro-Bowl

10. LaMarr Woodley, LB, Pittsburgh: Steeler fans know defense and when they like a player they get behind him in a big way. Woodley is a very popular young player in the Steel City.

Expectations are starting to mount, can the youngster deliver?

Pro-football weekly "whispers" good things about Woodley too!

Steelers LOLB LaMarr Woodley appears poised to build off a strong finish to last season, the way we hear it. Woodley has stood out in organized team activities

yep and with james harrison on the other side those guys will ravage opposing offenses. and passing third downs may see bruce davis blitzing too. and timmons inside probably intercepting or disrupting dump off passes to te or wr

our downfield dbs will look like pro bowlers this year

Woodley should have a huge year this season, our defense is going to be unstoppable...

I'll say he racks up 13 1/2 sacks

I might be forgetting about some off-season moves, but I thought the D line was a bigger problem than linebacker?

Yeah, uh, going off topic a bit, but, there's absolutely NO WAY Girrard will be in the pro bowl.
Manning and Brady are practically guaranteed spots, and Ben has a decent chance at spot number 3 (or better, possibly). Don't count out Anderson on a repeat year or Palmer on a comeback year.

After the reasonably capable qb's already given, hell, what if VY has another ridiculously undeserved pro bowl bid?

I don't give that piece of shit girrard a chance in hell to make the pro bowl. That's insanely ridiculous.

ILL - Nice point on the QB's. Kirwin's math does seem a bit off (barring injuries)

godfather - Yeah the D-line is a problem, mostly a depth problem. It is one that could affect the LB's and any possibilities of a pro-bowler on our D. I just think articles like this are putting some expectations on Woodley.

I hope he continues the fine play and will become an instant upgrade over that waste of space haggens. Cant wait to see what the other one can do on the inside, i hope to god they oust Foote from the starting lineup and insert this kid.

not to mention the extra qb pressure will help our average secondary
