Gotta say that I am not in love with this draft class.
Kind of a "run-of-the-mill" group of players.
Really missing any high profile skill position players.

Some good O-linemen, D-linemen, and corners.

Hammer nobody is in love with this Draft. As they have stated everywhere : BEEF BEEF AND ONLY BEEF.

3 O Lineman can ben taken in the first 5 / 10.

Are you kidding me ?

Problem is we need more than beef.

As an aside, i think the 1st team should have 2:00 minutes to make their pick. I mean they've had months to think about it.

Completely agree with you. 1st pick had all their life to make trades and talks. No waste of time needed.

I agree also about our needs. I would be hugely disappointed if we pick Lacy ( personally I think RBs can be taken only after the fifth round ).

I hope we can take Vaccaro as I expect Polamaly to be cut after this season ( 9 mil a year for a guy playing max 10 games ?)

I'm a steelers fan, so I', not exactly going to bash a MAC player being taken in the 1st round.

Yeah, I agree no RB in the 1st couple rounds. Not with the needs we have.

I think the key to drafting well this year is going to be timing. There are clusters of similar players at positions this year. getting your pick in while that cluster is going off the board is going to be the difference between a good draft and a bad one.
don't want to take the position to early or to late.
Jags take Luke Joeckel OT from Texas A&M. I like that pick.

Offensive Tackle at #2.

Jags will regret this. Their #1 Need is a QB.

Should try to trade down mid /late round and pick one.

Raiders on the clock.

If it were still Al Davis, I'd be looking to see who has the fastest 40 time, and know that's who they'd take.

Miami trades up to get the 3rd over all pick from the raiders.

who surprise the pundits and take Oregon DE/OLB Dion Jordan

ignoring their need for a OT and the run on them

y the way Hammer I just don't think that a Tackle ( Left or Right ) Makes so much difference to deserve to be #1 or #2 pick. Only one I can think of is Orlando Pace.

Miami move smells like a desperate one. The GM and the coach might be gone by the end of the season. They are all in. Not good for the franchise as they will pay for long years an average WR ( Wallace ) and OLB.

why do they talk to these idiots?

Dion Jordan with the stupid comment of the night thus far:
"It's my first time" :?

HEY DION - IT'S THE ONLY TIME YOU'LL BE DRAFTED

The new CBA is good for trades. I think we will see lots ( from 5 to 8 in ) in the 1st round alone

Lions take BYU DE Ezekiel Ansah.

I love to see guys like this go off the board early.
one year wonder. Boom or bust type
AND doesn't really fit the Steelers scheme

So far it is Ok with the steelers. We shouldn't spend a pick on the lines ( only if G Warmack falls all the way which I do not think will happen ). Let's hope they start picking QBs now...

Did anyone else really want to hear Barry Sanders say that he was coming out of retirement?
