WR Steve Breaston

Postby Steelers76 » Thu Feb 21, 2013 2:00 am

So word is The Steelers are looking at just released K.C. WR, formerly of The Arizona Cardinals and Woodland Hills High School, Steve Breaston.

His career seems to have tailed off since joining The Chiefs, although injuries and QB ineffectiveness have played a hand in that. At 29 years old, I say yea if we can get him at the right price.

What say you?

Steve Breaston ruined a Penn State season for me in 2005 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUTwWJ-4_XQ and my first Steelers game vs the Cardinals in 2007 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sxo0fISiPHg . If he still has the ability I witnessed back then, it would be nice to cheer for him...finally.

Unfortunately, I remember both those games as well, especially the last second loss to Michigan that prevented Penn State from going unbeaten that year. Arrrgghh!

But I'm glad you posted those videos since I nearly forgot that Breaston is a good return man as well. If he comes here he won't be WR No.1, but perhaps he can be a big help on special teams. And we all know they could use all the help they can get....

I'd be for it too, at the right price. If he's signed, he could be the #2 WR at best. Emmanuel Sanders has shown me that he has fumblitis, Breaston could supplant him.
