Another much talked about free agent off the market.

The Jaguars strengthened their razor-thin WR corps Monday, signing former Rams WR Torry Holt. Initial reports indicate Holt will sign a three-year contract that could be worth up to $20 million.

Prior to signing Holt, the Jaguars had Dennis Northcutt and Mike Walker as their top returning receivers. Earlier this offseason, the team released Matt Jones after he had violated the terms of a plea agreement stemming from a July 2008 drug charge, and it has elected not to bring back unrestricted free-agent WR Reggie Williams, a former first-round draft choice.

The Rams had released Holt in March in a cap-related move. He caught 64 passes for 796 yards and three touchdowns for the Rams last season, his least productive season since his rookie year of 1999. He’ll turn 33 years old in June.
