Weren't these two the media darlings just a few years back?

John Clayton and Pat Yasinskas, of ESPN.com, report the firings of Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden and general manager Bruce Allen cost roughly $25 million in contract commitments, according to multiple sources. Gruden had signed a three-year, $15.3 million extension and was under contract through 2012. Allen was earning more than $2 million annually.

Folks in Tampa gonna be paying for that $25million. I'd bet ticket prices go up.

There HAD to be some sort of a bad argument. Most owners and presidents are arrogant dumbasses. What sort of an idiot cans a coach with this kind of a financial stake? Same situation in Denver. Moronic team president wanted to show the "lowly coach" who was in charge. Welcome to the cellar, Doncos!

Saw this and just thought it was funny.

Jerry McDonald, of ANG Newspapers, reports Oakland Raiders senior executive John Herrera said the Raiders are not expected to hire former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden.

Jerry McDonald, of ANG Newspapers, reports Oakland Raiders senior executive John Herrera said the Raiders are not expected to hire former Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Bruce Allen for a front office position.

Also breaking news that Al Davis won't be signing Marcus Allen to play RB for the Raiders.
