I think this falls under the heading of "be careful of what you wish for...you might just get it". I guess we'll see how well the "young gun" does. I, too, am hoping for big numbers...and not in the BR sack department.

Go Steelers! :subngtowl:

This game just got a little scarier for me. Against an aggressive Ravens defense, I hope Rash can hold onto the damn ball. And believem, Ray "the murderer" Lewis and his buddies are licking their chops just thinking about this game. I would like to see some no-huddle this week. I've been hearing for the last 2 years how they have been working on this and how comfortable Ben is in it, but I have yet to actually see it. There is alot of bullshit coming from the Stillers locker room. Action talks, bullshit walks. Or in this case, bullshit is going to get Ben killed.

Dont get me wrong i like Willie, but i dont think it will be hard to replace the 30 yards he usually gets against the Ratbirds.

Willie usually does dick against the Ravens. To wit, his only 5 starts v Baltimore in reverse order, beginning with last year's first game, as the season finale was a DNP for FWP :
att yds avg
wk 9 2k7 23 42 1.8
wk 16 2k6 13 29 2.2
wk 12 2k6 10 22 2.2
wk 11 2k5 18 59 3.3
wk 8 2k5 14 63 4.5

Mendy could hardly do worse, assuming he hangs on to the football.

Truth be told, if the game plan doesn't figure out how to block frequent blitzes you could have any running back in there and they are gonna get dick.

Look for quick hitters, slants, & screens to loosen up the defense. Then again, if they try 5 steps drops and play action, I expect a squeegee will be needed to remove the remains of Ben from the field.
