As much as I hate the ratbirds, you have to give their front office some credit for remaining relevant over a long period of time now. However, I see the same thing you are seeing with that horrid contract corroding the rest of the roster. I think average Joe is better than some give him credit for but he sure as hell was not worth that contract. The biggest difference between he and Ben is that Ben excels under pressure while Flacid curls up in the fetal position. The Stillers have failed to take advantage due to their piss poor pass rush of the last couple of seasons. We need pass rushers and anyone that can cover. Mgmt better not screw up this offseason. They're off to a bad start as I see they may be retaining Mitchell.
