If he is too small to play linebacker, why can't a guy with his speed play safety? This is the reverse of the Urlacher scenario. Unless he is so much slower than the other safeties on our roster, and I doubt it, where is the downside?

I don't think so. I would like to see him get a full healthy season on the field. We desperately need a DT. Git one a those and our LB's may look better. Seems like every game our DL is pushed way off the ball. Can take some pressure off the horrid secondary. Look at the Ravens. I really think with a decent defense next season they contend with no problem. Seems so simple I suppose, but can we pleeeeease see what Sharko is capable of Mr. Butler DC?
