Steelers 4th round pick Clemson WR Martavis Bryant

Postby thesteelhammer » Sat May 10, 2014 1:05 pm

with the 118th over all pick the steelers drafted Clemson WR Martavis Bryant

nice size 6'4 211 pounds and speed 4.42 in the 40.
questionable hands. questionable maturity (according to the rags). rep of taking plays off

http://www.nfl.com/draft/2014/profiles/ ... id=2543572

fills a need and at a place he was expected to go.
Big Body and a vertical threat.
Needs to show he can learn the play book after academic issues in college.
Boom or bust type.

The Stillers missed out on Moncrief but made up for it by snagging Martavis Bryant. You can review my details here:

Best pick so far.

Let's realize this : 4th Round Picks are not expected to stick around.

This guys had the same numbers as Sammy Watkins. What did Watkins cost to the Bills ? Two first round picks and another late round pick...

This is our 4th round pick.

Very good one.

Interesting call, using a draft pick to address an actual need...

Haven's draft board has him as a 2nd round value.

This is the best value pick they made so far IMO! This pick has me in a great mood for the rest of the day - plus I'm about to leave work!

I agree that this is their best pick of the draft. 2nd round value at a 4th round spot. I'd love to send this kid to Hines Ward's house for a few months and hope some of that work ethic rubs off. My only concern here is that I hope he doesn't become the next Limas Sweed.
