Might Ben Sit If The Season Goes Totally South?

Postby Steelers76 » Tue Oct 08, 2013 5:52 am

I'm talking if the team has 1-2 wins heading into the final month, month and a half of the season. I've seen teams do this right around that specific time period. Usually, it's good for 1-2 things;

-1.) Ensures The Franchise QB doesn't get hurt playing meaningless games.

-2.) Will more than likely clinch a Top 5 Draft Pick, as well as good positioning through the rest of next year's Draft.

Or do you think No. 7 should start the rest of the games this season barring injury? I.E. Go down with The Ship? Discuss......

Too early for me to even think like this.

I think it would look like too much of a total capitulation, a slap in the face to fans who still shell out hundreds of $ to see a game, to do this until the last 2-3 games.

It may or may not be "too early", but this certainly seems like an entirely possible scenario, wouldn't you say?

It seems everywhere I've talked about The Steelers people have already started the "next year and beyond" talk, as they feel this season is a lost cause already.....
