7th round pick- Samford DT - Nick Williams

Postby thesteelhammer » Sat Apr 27, 2013 6:18 pm

Depth at NT:
6'4 304
4.94 40 (almost as slow as the ILB from FSU we just drafted.)

2 year starter and was All-Southern Conference second-team in 2011, and first-team in 2012

only been playing footbal since he was 18. still has some up side if he can find a spot to keep developing.

This is probably my favorite pick on Day 3. He is an athletic 6'5" 309 lbs and moves very well for a big man. With 28 reps on the bench, a 33" vertical, and 9'3" on the broad jump, his KEI is 70.25 which is extremely good for a 7th round DT. He is still a raw talent who didn't face top tier competition. However, with some good coaching, he could be a huge steal for us.

This kid's raw, but I love his ability. I saw some game highlights of him, and he's gonna be a steal.
