A fifth straight 1-2 week. Another Steelers loss. I am starting to look forward to the weekend being over so I don't have to pull my hair out on Sunday. If only I still had hair. The Colts with an assist from Gary Kubiak won my best bet. A second consecutive best bet win with the Colts. I couldn't have been more wrong about my other selections. I am always surprised when a team with playoff aspirations falters against a team playing for nothing. Even when they are divisional rivals. The Dolphins did just that in Buffalo. At least the Eagles managed to escape with a victory over the Redskins in Philly. Not that they really deserved the last second win.
Nothing stands out for me this week. Again. So more throwing shit at the wall to see if it sticks. It will probably just stink.

Best Bet
New England Patriots (-5) over Miami Dolphins
These two just met four weeks ago with the Patriots coming out on top by 10. Since then the Patriots have lost to the two undefeated teams left in the league sandwiched around a beat down of another division rival the Jets. The Dolphins barely defeated the Bucs and Panthers before succumbing in Buffalo by giving up 24 unanswered 4th quarter points last week. Yes. You read that right. How can I not pick against that?
Others
Denver Broncos (-4.5) over Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs were obliterated by the Chargers in Arrowhead last week. The Chargers forced 4 turnovers and capitalized to the tune of 28 points en route to a 43 to 14 thrashing. Sort of what I expected from the Steelers against the Chiefs. OK, I'm still bitter. The Broncos got off the schneid on Thanksgiving night against a Giants team that apparently had too much tryptophan coursing through their veins. Picking the Broncos makes me nervous. Kyle Orton can ruin things in a hurry. But this looks like too good a spot for them to pass up.
San Fransisco 49ers (E) over Seattle Seahawks
This game illustrates why betting and fantasy football are so important to the NFL. Without betting and fantasy football there is no reason for this game to even be played. Both these teams are coming off wins. Unusual in and of itself. The 49ers actually helped out the Steelers by defeating the Jaguars. The Seahawks beat the faltering Rams a week after being completely shut down by the Vikings. I'm going to take more out of the Vikings debacle than the Rams win since I figure the 49ers 5th ranked run defense is a lot closer to the Vikings 2nd ranked run defense than the Rams 28th ranked run defense.
Last week
Indianapolis Colts (-3.5) over Houston Texans WIN
Miami Dolphins (-3) over Buffalo Bills LOSS
Philadelphia Eagles (-9) over Washington Redskins LOSS
