Here’s the Silver Fuggin’ Lining!!
…objectivity returns
By Swissvale72
Just got back from Dunkin’ Donuts on this Thanksgiving morning. Here’s two of my bad habits:
- I go to Dunkin’ Donuts all the time.
- I never have any cash with me (SignPlax will verify).
Just got my Visa bill….for a 28-day period, I had 41 Dunkin’ Donuts charges, often for $1.50, the cost of a small black coffee. Sometimes, I have four or 5 charges in a day. Okay…I know that nobody gives a shit about that. You probably don’t give a shit either, that this year’s New Hampshire Primary is on my son’s birthday. On with the article.
Here’s the silver fuggin’ lining from the Jets loss…a historical view…
’74….Steelers lose at home to the lowly Oilers Sunday after Turkey day, 13-10…how the fuck did that happen?
’05….Lose at home to the Bengals first weekend in December
In both instances, Steelers then ran the fuggin’ table. I’m not saying that will happen, but…
Makeup call….
I was the portendor of doom in a previous article, “The Good, the Bad, the Feo,” by writing “Can you believe we lost to the fuckin’ shitty Jets in the Meadowlands??,” written weeks in advance of this travesty. So know, I’ll be the Seer of Joy, with some trepidation. I won’t crawl to the end of the limb…but here’s the deal.
One loss for this Black & Gold squad the rest of the way….might or might not be in Foxboro on December 9th. And….circle your calendars. The Pittsburgh Steelers will be back in Foxboro on January 20th for the AFCCG.
Remember as well, the ’94 & 95 Steeler editions won 7 & 8 games consecutively prior to meaningless season ending losses. Neither team went all the way.
The Silver lining? Perhaps we need a debacle for a all to end well.
Haven’t figured out this piece of the puzzle though. How do we do this when we cant block?
A question for next time.
