2006 Full Season Preview: Every Team, Every Game By Still MC

Before I go any further, let me say that this just may be the longest article to grace Stillers.com. Unless you're truly interested in a young fan's predictions, I would just skim it and wait until after the season to throw my picks in my face. But I would like to put them somewhere other than the message board, so that they don't disappear like many predictions on their tend to do.

I did a similar article last year, on my now-defunct blog. You can view it at http://malevolentcha0s.livejournal.com/. I did select the Stillers to win the SB (of course, at the start of the season who didn't), and was usually within 2 games of my predicted W-L for each team. My biggest flop was Seattle, who I predicted to go 5-11.

Let's start in the most important division, the AFC North.

Notes: The Stillers are notorious for dropping an early game. I think Jacksonville will come to play, as they always do. The high of the SB and winning on opening night might catch us a little off-guard. Later in the season, the roadtrip from hell (Atlanta to Oakland) will be very tough. Some nagging feeling tells me that we'll just be more tired than the Raiders (who play at home the previous week). Baltimore always plays us tough, so I expect a close loss in one of the two games. And I just can't see the team winning out after that, because Carolina will be tough this year, although I don't consider them a Superbowl-caliber team.
