.2.New Orleans Saints5-0Brees hung 369 yards passing and 4 TDs on the formerly top ranked pass defense after not throwing a TD pass in the previous 2 weeks.
.3.Indianapolis Colts5-0Caldwell has a chance to join McDaniels along with Knox, Miller and Martz to start his head coaching career at 6-0.
.4.Minnesota Vikings6-0Lucky Hauschka missed a 44 yarder in the final seconds after they blew a 17 point 4th quarter lead and turtled before Longwell's game winner.
.5.Denver Broncos6-0Royal is is only the 11th player to return a kick and punt for a touchdown in the same game.
.1.New York Giants5-1Gave up as many first half points to the Saints as they had previously given up in first halves all season.
.6.Atlanta Falcons4-1Matty Ice hasn't been sacked since the opener.
.9.New England Patriots4-2Set franchise records with 59 points on 619 total yards against the hapless Titans with Brady exiting after 2 series in the 3rd quarter.
.11.Pittsburgh Steelers4-2Roethlisberger leads the league in passing yardage (with assistance from the Colts' bye).
.16.Arizona Cardinals3-2Surprisingly lead the league in run defense allowing 59.6 yards per game ahead of the second place Steelers by a whopping 14.9 yards per game.
.10.Chicago Bears3-2Wasn't the addition of Cutler supposed to open up running lanes for Forte?
.8.Cincinnati Bengals4-2Can't stand prosperity. Losing Odom for the year is a blow.
.17.Green Bay Packers3-2A bye followed by the Lions and Browns. That's like 3 off weeks for the defense.
.7.Philadelphia Eagles3-2Reid got what he deserved after calling 54 passes and 12 runs against one of the league's worst rushing defenses.
.12.Baltimore Ravens3-3Allowed back-to-back 100 yard rushers for the first time since December of 2005 when Ray Ray was out injured.
.15.Dallas Cowboys3-2Play on the field is secondary to Jones' gaudy monument to greed and opulence. That might be a good thing given the team they have been putting on the field.
.13.New York Jets3-3Dirty Sanchez's 5 interceptions (plus an interception thrown by Weatherford on a botched hold for a field goal) trumped their 318 yards rushing. The 3-0 start is but a distant memory.
.22.Houston Texans3-3Offense is firing on all cylanders after the debacle against the Jets in the opener.
.18.San Fransisco 49ers3-2Crabtree will be among the top 3 receivers and could start in his first game on the active roster.
.19.Miami Dolphins2-3Should be watching film of the Jets versus the Saints and not the Giants. If they watch too much of last week's game they might decide to forfeit.
.14.San Diego Chargers2-3Already 3 1/2 games behind in a division in which they were expected by everybody (including myself) to win easily. Of course last year they made up a 3 game deficit with 3 to play.
.21.Jacksonville Jaguars3-3Outgained the Rams by 230 yards, but a -2 turnover differential including an interception return for a TD by Little kept the game close.
.23.Carolina Panthers2-3Williams carried them to victory as Delhomme continued to struggle.
.20.Seattle Seahawks2-4Outgained by 216 yards while managing only 17 minutes and 10 seconds of possesion time plus to add injury to insult lost Tatupu for the season with a torn pectoral muscle.
.27.Buffalo Bills2-4Ivy leaguers Jauron (Yale) and Fitzpatrick (Harvard) used brains to prevail over Ryan's brawn. OK, not really. They just capitalized on the abysmal play of Dirty Sanchez.
.30.Oakland Raiders2-4Seymour showed why they traded for him with a pair of sacks and a forced fumble.
.31.Kansas City Chiefs1-5Hail Redskins!
.24.Cleveland Browns1-5Need to find some receivers that can catch.
.25.Washington Redskins2-4All their opponents were winless when they played.
.28.Detriot Lions1-5Treading water until Stafford returns.
.29.Tampa Bay Buccaneers0-6Could Morris be one and done? Rumors are already swirling.
.26.Tennessee Titans0-6Safeties Hope and Griffin should be embarrased by their complete lack of effort against the Patriots. Not that they particularly deserve to be singled out.
.32.St. Louis Rams0-6Took the Jags to overtime in Jacksonville only to lose by 3. Actually a step in the right direction after being outscored by 112 points in the first 5 games.
