Hard Hat Award (Game #4, vs. Philly)

Stiller ILB Larry Timmons is the winner of the weekly Hard Hat Award, given to the Stiller player who best embodies the iron-tough, hard-as-steel attitude of the steel workers inside the blast furnace of a still mill.

Timmons had a manster of a game, in which he was half man, half monster.   Playing like a demon possessed, he was a 1-man wreaking crew, causing problems for the Iggles all over the field.  He finished with 8 solos and an assist, although mere slop stats are never enough to earn the coveted Hard Hat.   Timmons forced a fumble of Vick in the 1st half.  Timmy blasted McCoy for a 2-yard loss in the 2Q, a play in which Timmons came across the field, then knifed thru, and ran a total of about 16 yards to make this play.  That was Hard Hat linebacking.

Some other players warranted attention.   Socrates Mendenhall saw his first action of the season, and responded with a strong all around effort.  Ditto for James Harrison, who saw his first action of 2012 and gutted it out and played every snap.  Jason Worilds actually chipped in with some solid linebacking.

Kudos to Timmy for winning the Hard Hat Award.  Wear the Hard Hat proudly, Larry!
