Haven's NFL Power Rankings (week 6)

.2.Kansas City Chiefs5-0Could a kick returner win the MVP award? There have been a grand total of 6 kicks and punts returned for TDs this season and 4 of those were by Hall. He has already tied the NFL record for most TD returns in a season after 5 weeks. The speed and athleticism displayed during his 93 yard punt return that beat the Broncos was mind boggling.
.3.Indianapolis Colts5-0Manning seemed erase any doubts that he can win a big game on Monday night. Trailing by 21 with under 4 minutes remaining, Manning engineered what has to be considered one of the greatest and most unexpected comebacks in NFL history. And he did it against a Bucs defense that some considered one of the greatest of all time.
.8.Carolina Panthers4-0Second to last in passing offensive in the NFL averaging only 124.8 yard per game, the Panthers are getting by with the leagues second ranked rushing offense and top ranked scoring defense.
.9.Minnesota Vikings5-0Toyed with the Falcons before putting them away in the fourth quarter. Moss seems to have matured mentally which is a scary proposition for opposing defense.
.7.Miam Dolphins3-1Became the second team along with the Cowboys to win 2 games at the Meadowlands. Have officially turned around their season after shocking week 1 loss at home to the Texans. The big question still remains.... Can they win games in December?
.1.Tampa Bay Buccaneers2-2Suffered a shocking collapse at home on Monday night. Now have 2 home losses and trail divisional rival Carolina by 2 games. Now face the historically tough task of a road game after a Monday night loss.
.5.Denver Broncos4-1Seem very bitter about loss to divisional rival Kansas City. Need to refocus and move forward after spending alot of time complaining about illegal blocks on Hall's fourth quarter punt return for a TD.
.4.Seattle Seahawks3-1I'll give the Seahawks a mulligan for last week's performance at Lambeau Field.
.15.Philadelphia Eagles2-2Back on track after a horrendous start. Bet they didn't expect to be in a must win game at Dallas in week 6. A loss would drop the Eagles 2 games behind the Cowboys.
.11.St. Louis Rams2-2The Warner versus Vick matchup on Monday night must have looked pretty good to the NFL when they made up the schedule. Unfortunately the Bulger versus Johnson matchup doesn't look that great to the TV viewing public.
.16.New England Patriots3-2Just when things looked bleakest Belicheck got his troops to play their best game of the year.
.6.Tennessee Titans3-2Flat performance in New England was a surprise. Can not afford to take the Texans lightly.
.17.Green Bay Packers3-2Favre rallied the troops and won a big game at home against the previously undefeated Seahawks. Now have a chance to knock off a second straight unbeaten with Kansas City coming to town.
.18.Buffalo Bills3-2Looked very ordinary needing overtime at home to beat the Bengals. Henry helped rejuvinate the running game, but Bledsoe continued to slump. Now Moulds has been downgraded to questionable with a groin injury.
.10.Washington Redskins3-2Arrington and Sapp are already talking trash. Shut up and play football.
.19.Dallas Cowboys3-1Parcells has this team playing way over their heads.
.13.New York Giants2-2Sort of remind me of the Steelers. They have the offensive skill position talent to dominate, but poor line play keeps getting in the way. The defense has been hurt by penalties and big plays at inopportune times despite having solid personel.
.12.Pittsburgh Steelers2-3Do you know how little yardage statistics mean after 5 weeks? The Steelers defense has given up the least total yards in the entire NFL and the offense is ranked second in passing yards. The problem of course is turnovers and red zone efficiency. Especially turnovers. The Steelers are -4 in turnover differential. Maddox has thrown 8 interceptions as compared to only 5 TD passes and 3 of the interceptions have been returned for touchdowns while a fourth was returned to the half yard line.
.14.Oakland Raiders2-3Last years Super Bowl participants did not have a good weekend. The defense fell apart in the second half allowing Stewart and Thomas to lead a miraculous comeback. The Raiders managed to keep their aging team together one more season by playing games with the cap. Looks like it wan't worth the effort.
.20.Baltimore Ravens2-2Moved into first place in the NFL's worst division while on a bye.
.23.Cleveland Browns2-3Most schizophrenic team in the NFL. How will Davis handle the newly renewed QB controvery?
.24.San Fransisco 49ers2-3Garcia and Owens seem to have kissed and made up. Be interesting to see what happens the next time this team faces adversity.
.21.Houston Texans2-2Have a tough task coming off the bye and travelling to Tennessee to face a Titan team that is not happy about losing in New England.
.22.Atlanta Falcons1-4Clearly the Falcons miss Michael Vick. The real question though is what happened to the defense. After pushing all the right buttons last season Wade Phillips has been unable to coax the same type of performance out of his players.
.25.New Orleans Saints1-4Need to beat the Bears at home to avoid falling into the abyss.
.26.Detriot Lions1-4Attempted comeback from 17 point deficit fell a TD short. The really bad news came a few days after the loss. First round phenom Rogers broke his collarbone in practice and will be lost for at least 4 weeks.
.28.Cincinnati Bengals1-4Once again played hard for Lewis, dragging the Bills kicking and screaming into overtime before surrendering a game ending TD.
.31.Jacksonville Jaguars1-4Leftwich looks like a keeper. Smith didn't miss a beat returning from suspension and he immediately seemed to gel with the rookie QB. Brunell may not be happy to be cast into the backup role, but the Jaguars would be foolish not to get Leftwich valuable experience.
.32.Chicago Bears1-3Before being overshadowed by Indy on Monday night the Bears managed to pull off an almost equally shocking comeback. Trailing the Raiders 18-3 at halftime and 18-6 after three quarters the Bears pulled out a win on the strength of an Edinger field goal with 3 minutes remaining.
.27.Arizona Cardinals1-4Victory over Green Bay is looking more and more like a complete fluke. I probably wouldn't pick the Cardinals to win outright against either the Jets or the Chargers, but for now they manage to stay out of the rankings cellar on the strength of their win.
.30.New York Jets0-4Not a good sign to be winless when the Bears and Cardinals have both managed to pull out a victory.
.29.San Diego Chargers0-5Boston came back from his suspension and dominated. That seems like a good sign, but the Chargers still lost to a previously winless team starting a rookie QB.
