Hard Hat Award (Game #6, vs. Clev)

Stillers LB Larry Timmons is the winner of the weekly Hard Hat Award, given to the Stiller player who best embodies the iron-tough, hard-as-steel attitude of the steel workers inside the blast furnace of a still mill.

Timmons, who rotted the bench through no fault of his own his first 2 seasons in the NFL, capitalized on his starting role with a big game versus the Brownies.    Larry had a career day with a team high 5 solos (tied with Ike), and more importantly 2 FFs that created 2 critical turnovers.   Hard Hat football is all about imposing ones will on the opponent and forcing turnovers, and Timmons did just that in punishing fashion.

Others receiving consideration from The Committee were Hines Ward, Heath Miller, and Tonio Holmes.

Kudos to Timmons for winning the Hard Hat Award.  Wear the Hard Hat proudly, Larry!
