GILDONG DRAWS TRAPS IRE
And other random thoughts caught up in the mind like a
steel trap
Many on this sights message board have pointed toward the
monthly AFC Defensive Player of the Month Award that Big Jason Gildong has
received as a slap in the face to Still Mill, myself, and others who have
pilloried this fraud of a linebacker.
Many would be wrong to do so.
First, the award itselfa piece of paper given to the player who
compiles the most stats during that monthly period. A joke. A mockery. Yes, Big Jason had some sacks in fact,
more during this time period than anyone in the AFC. Big deal. He played the
Texans and the Panthers and the Ravens hardly studlike football
offenses. Hey Jason where were you
when we played the Saints, the Falcons, the Raiders, the Patriots?????? Second, the lunacy of awarding something to
a player who, if he were a baseball player, would be hitting .028. This is productivity?? Consider that an opponent runs approximately
70 plays a game. Big Jason gets one
sack. He never leaves the field for ANY
plays. Does this award consider what
Jason was doing the other 69 plays????
Sorry the NFL can shove that award up their collective asses, cause
there are PLENTY of more deserving players, especially ones who do not JOG on
running plays to the other side of the field.
Want to adjudicate Big Jason Gildong? Look at the plays that Todd Heap lined up on
the strong side and went out in patterns.
Trap already did. Guess
what? The MOST Trap is talking MOST
that Trap saw Jason do to Heap as he came out of his stance was ONE HAND of
SLIGHT PUSH. The MOST! Most of the times, Gildong did not even
TOUCH Todd Heap. In other words, this
big, bad linebacker the AFC Player of the Month ALLOWED Todd Heap to go
into his pass patterns with nary a tap and allowed him to catch 7 passes
accumulating 146 yards!!!!!!! Thanks,
Jason! Appreciate your help, you
worthless, pussified, contact-shy sorry excuse for a football player. Ive seen more hitting on the racquetball
court, you wuss!!!!
Sorry Trap had to get that off his chest, especially since
Traps own WIFE bought into the hype, questioning Trap with He must be doing
something right, right? Wrong. Any player that allows an opponent to come
off the line of scrimmage untouched is a pussy. Period.
Trap suggests Steel Haven wait till he gets back from the
game and looks at the film before he passes judgment in the future, OR make
sure he lays off the hooch, which, for those who know Steel Haven, is impossible!
While Trap is on this subject, Steel Phantoms brilliant
article this week illustrates just how wrong the Stillers were to think that
they could easily replace Earl Holmes.
The total tackles-for-loss have dropped DRASTICALLY. Earl was the man who did this. Earl was the man who consistently stopped
the run. Farrior has done it off and
on, but not consistently at all. Trap
likes Farrior, bur Farrior aint no Earl Holmes. And as stated previously, Farriors pass coverage is
overrated. The only linebacker the
Stillers have who can TRULY cover the pass is Porter. Bell has bulked, and has slowed.
Jason hasnt defended a pass since Christ was a Corporal.
Trap is getting sicker and sicker and sicker watching Lee
Flowers attempt to play safety. The sooner
this stiff is jettisoned this offseason, the better.
Trap predicts that beating the Browns, or Clowns, this week
will depend largely on how well Hartings is able to keep Earl Holmes off
Bettis. We control the line of
scrimmage, and run some old-fashioned smashmouth, we win. Maddox will make his passes, so long as he
doesnt force them.
Not inserting Kordell on 4th-down attempts is
just stone-stupid. Sorry. No debates hereTrap has heard them allYou
must have continuity in the offense.
It disrupts everything switching QBs in and out. BULLSHIT.
They run Randle El in after every TV timeout, there is NO EXCUSE for not
having Kordell in there on 4th and short. Kordell is like 90% successful on these attempts, he can run, he
can jump, and he is strong. Maddox is
about 50% successful on these, he cant run, he cant jump, and he is
weak. Case closed.
Memo to Tim Lewis:
PleasePLEASEstop having Casey Hampton stunt on the goal line. This is THE stupidest, boneheaded strategy
in the NFL today. To date, we have
given up at least three touchdowns RIGHT UP THE GUT specifically due to Hampton
stunting and leaving a GAPING hole up the middle for the running back. The nose tackle MUST play the run straight
up at the goal line. EVERY TIME. The opponents offensive lines are only too
happy to have Fat Casey slant to the left, and the center plow him that
way. Cmon, Tim, dont you watch
tapes??? And, please, dont watch the
same tapes that you told Waxall showed Earl Holmes cant tackle. Those are the Kurpeikis tapes. Check the numbers next time.
Trap gives credit where credit is due: Kudos to Kenny Jackson for finally teaching
Plaxico how to get his feet down inbounds!
Remember the days when Plex couldnt get his feet down on an airport
runway?
Kudos for Tommy Maddox, as well, for his 20-yard scramble
last week. The PoeBirds were so surprised,
it took Billick a few minutes to find the sundial to time Maddox as he was
scampering!!! That was THE play of the
game.
Kudos to Randle El for showing good calm and pocket presence
during his trick plays with the option to run or pass. Most receivers would be trying to force the
ball downfield on one of those plays.
Kudos to the offensive line even Smith which may be
hitting its stride at exactly the right moment. If they continue to play like the best line in football, Field
Goal Bill just MIGHT get a chance at his ringand a chance to turtle in the
Super Bowl, like no other coach ever has!!!!!!!!!
