.1.New Orleans Saints2-0Winning despite scuffling. A QB like Breesus can do that for you. Loss of Bush for 6 weeks or so is less of an issue than the main stream sports media believes.
.2.Green Bay Packers2-0Can take control of the NFC North with a win in their visit to Chicago.
.9.Pittsburgh Steelers2-0Lost Dixon to a sprained knee after releasing Leftwich earlier in the week. Leftwich was back Monday. Luckily the offense has been rendered irrelevant. The defense forced 7 turnovers and had 4 sacks. Harrison returned to 2008 defensive player of the year form with 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. Polamalu and Timmons may have actually had better games than him. Scary. Brown took the opening kickoff to the house off a handoff from Moore the first time in his career he touched the ball in the regular season. Imagination from the special teams. Really scary. The Super Bowl champs from just 2 seasons ago are winning with no offense and have Pro Bowl quality QB Roethlisberger coming back after just 2 more games. Really, really scary.
.6.Houston Texans2-0Schaub's 497 yards passing powered a comeback from a 17 point second half deficit and resulted in the first OT victory in franchise history.
.7.Indianapolis Colts1-1Do not go gentle into that good night, old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. - Dylan Thomas
.12.San Diego Chargers1-1Bowling ball Tolbert impressed after Matthews sprained his ankle.
.13.Cincinnati Bengals1-1Lewis finally has the defense he always wanted in Cincy. Alas Palmer and the aging offense no longer appear to be what they once were.
.4.Baltimore Ravens1-1What happened to Flacco in Cincinnati?
.14.Atlanta Falcons1-1Reports of the demise of Ryan were premature. Snelling made the short term loss of Turner an afterthought.
.15.New York Jets1-1Took the shackles off The Sanchize in the second half and scored 21 unanswered points to right the ship with Revis out after reaggravating his hamstring injury.
.3.New England Patriots1-1Which is worse? Defense being exposed by The Sanchize or offense being exposed by a Revis-less defense that had been torched by the Ravens.
.18.Miami Dolphins2-0A pair of road wins has them alone atop the division yet still below both the Jets and Pats in these power rankings. What can you do? Their first 2 opponents are a combined 0-4. A victory this week over the Jets makes me a believer.
.21.Chicago Bears2-0Can Cutler stand the spotlight of visit from Green Bay in prime time?
.5.Tennessee Titans1-1Johnson's 100 yard rushing streak ended at 12 games, just 2 shy of Sanders' record of 14.
.10.New York Giants1-1Stepped into a buzz saw against the 0-1 Colts in Indy.
.16.Washington Redskins1-1Blew a 17 point second half lead. Obviously not what was hoped for after replacing Zorn and Campbell with Shanahan and McNabb.
.19.Philadelphia Eagles1-1Vick or bust.
.8.Minnesota Vikings0-2Could have saved some money and averaged 9.5 points per game with Jackson at QB. I'm actually not ready to give up on them or Favre.
.11.Dallas Cowboys0-2When will Jones finally admit the duo of Phillips and Garrett are a failure? Will he open up his wallet for Cowher? I now expect Cowher to accept the challenge if it is presented to him.
.26.Tampa Bay Buccaneers2-0Freeman appears to be the real deal.
.24.Kansas City Chiefs2-0Something to be said for finding a way to win despite the 30th ranked offense and 24th ranked defense.
.28.Denver Broncos1-1RIP Kenny McKinley.
.17.Seattle Seahawks1-1Euphoria of home win to open the Carroll era was quickly extinguished.
.20.San Fransisco 49ers0-2Doomed by turnovers at the wrong time. Smith showed something in the final drive and two point conversion to tie the game. Then the defense let them down. Still have plenty of opportunities in the consensus worst division in the league.
.22.Arizona Cardinals1-1Couldn't win on the east coast with Warner. Why would things improve without him.
.23.Jacksonville Jaguars1-1Need to get MJD untracked. Especially since he is on my fantasy team.
.27.Oakland Raiders1-1Didn't take long for a QB controversy to emerge after Gradkowski led them to victory subbing in the second half for an ineffective Campbell.
.25.Carolina Panthers0-2Already switching to Claussen after Moore started the season completing only 41% of his passes with 6 turnovers. Will lame duck Fox survive the season?
.29.Detriot Lions0-2Lack of talent at linebacker and the defensive backfield will make this season a continuing struggle.
.30.St. Louis Rams0-2Progress is evident despite losses.
.31.Cleveland Browns0-2Holmgren's decision to enter the season with Mangini, Delhomme and Wallace as coach and QBs doomed them from the start.
.32.Buffalo Bills0-2Starting Fitzpatick over Edwards is like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
